For the Press

The Fund for Global Human Rights seeks to strengthen human rights movements globally through grant-making to local, national and regional human rights organizations. The Fund works to bridge the gap between donors and human rights groups doing critical human rights work.

With grant-making programs in thirteen countries, access to local activists, and the knowledge required to identify top-notch local human rights groups and monitor their progress, the Fund for Global Human Rights can help the press cover breaking stories that might not make the headlines. Government repression often makes it very difficult to get the whole story—we can connect you to those who risk their lives to change societies.

The Fund for Global Human Rights has programs in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, Morocco, Tunisia, AlgeriaPakistan, India, MexicoGuatemala, Thailand, and the Philippines.
