The Fund’s approach to grant-making—developed over the past eight years of building programs in diverse contexts—focuses on funding dynamic, young organizations; emerging issues; and movements that aim to build broad-based constituencies for human rights.
In Egypt, this will mean supporting a range of activities and actors operating at all levels—from the local to the national, with a particular focus on groups working outside Cairo.
The Fund’s program will be led by a local staff representative. Once that person is hired, s/he will design an outreach process to identify prospective grantees.
